A edição do Chile do PokerStars Festival, nova série de torneios ao vivo do PokerStars, maior site de poker online do mundo, terminou com a vitória de um jogador da casa. O profissional de poker chileno Cristopher Franco, de 25 anos, foi o campeão do Evento Principal e ficou com o prêmio de US$ 97.360,00.
Na mesa final, ele derrotou grandes nomes, como o principal jogador de poker chileno, Amos Ben, para levar o título e se tornar o primeiro jogador latino-americano a ganhar uma edição de PokerStars Festival. Ao todo, 329 jogadores se inscreveram no evento, que foi realizado no Enjoy Viña del Mar Casino & Resort.
Entre os brasileiros, Henrique Onodera foi o melhor colocado, 50º, ficando por muito pouco fora da zona de premiação.
A próxima edição do PokerStars Festival será em Marbella, na Espanha, entre os dias 19 e 25 de junho, e voltará à América Latina em setembro, para a etapa de Punta del Este, Uruguai.
